Shakira Performs For 30,000 Fans While ill
Poor thing...

Latino singer Shakira proved she was real trooper recently after performing an entire show to 30,000 fans in Tenerife while suffering from a nasty virus.

Shakira, whose current single "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean is currently Number 1 in the UK, was performing at Tenerife's Heliodoro Stadium, it was thought that she would not make it on stage but appeared at the last minute.

An insider told the Daily Star: "Shakira was feeling lousy and had a fever all day. It was touch and go if she would perform until half-an-hour before she was due on.

"That's why she wore trousers on stage " even when she put on her belly dancers outfit."

Other problems had also blighted the gig; equipment had been lost so the show was only half of what it should have been, the insider added: "Most of our stage gear got lost in transit so we couldn't supply the full show and lighting."

It is hoped that Shakira will be touring the UK in March - hopefully she will be better by then.
